Council Regulation (EU) 2021/1696 of 21 September 2021 extends the application of Regulation (EU) 2021/840 of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing an exchange, assistance and training programme for the protection of the euro against counterfeiting for the period 2021-2027 to the non-participating Members States, to ensure the same level of protection for the euro in the Member States that do not have the euro as their official currency.
This Regulation should enter into force as a matter of urgency and should apply, with retroactive effect, from 1 January 2021, to ensure continuity in providing support in the relevant policy area and to allow implementation of the Pericles IV programme to start from the beginning of the Multi-annual Financial Framework 2021-2027,

The Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1690 of 20 September 2021 allows Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority to extend until 14 May 2022 the action to permit the making available on the market for, and use by, professional users of the biocidal product Biobor JF for the antimicrobial treatment of aircraft fuel tanks and fuel systems, to facilitate to the Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority to take action regarding the lack of control of microbiological contamination of aircraft fuel tanks and fuel systems that endanger air transport safety.
This Decision shall apply with a retroactive effect from 10 November 2020 because the action expired on 9 November 2020.

The Council Decision of 21 September 2021 appoints as members and alternate members of the Advisory Committee on Freedom of Movement for Workers for the period ending on 24 September 2022, as representatives of the Government, the trade union and employer´s associations.
This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its adoption.
