COMMON FOREIGN AND SECURITY POLICY

 

 

The Political and Security Committee Decision (CFSP) 2021/868 of 20 May 2021 extending the mandate of the Head of Mission of the European Union Advisory Mission for Civilian Security Sector Reform Ukraine extended the validity of Decision (CFSP) 2019/992 of 4 June 2019, in order to extend the mandate of Mr Antti HARTIKAINEN as Head of Mission of EUAM Ukraine from 1 June 2021 to 31 May 2022.

CONSUMER PROTECTION

 

 

Directive (EU) 2021/903 of 3 June 2021 amended Directive 2009/48/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards specific limit values for aniline in certain toys, in order to set a limit for aniline in textile toy material and leather toy material of 30 mg/kg after reductive cleavage and a limit for aniline in finger paints of 10 mg/kg as free aniline and 30 mg/kg after reductive cleavage.

 

Member States are required to transpose and implement this Directive by 4 December 2022 at the latest.

EUROPEAN CENTRAL BANK (ECB)

 

 

Decision (EU) 2021/874 of the European Central Bank of 26 May 2021 amended Decision (EU) 2019/1743 on the remuneration of holdings of excess reserves and of certain deposits, in order to  provide exempt prudential cash holdings that are held in a dedicated account with the European Central Bank (ECB,) in accordance with Article 13(2) of Implementing Decision C(2021) 2502 final, from negative interest rates, and in order to prepare the ECB legal framework for this Implementing Decision.

 

It amended Article 1 and replaced Article 2 related to Remuneration of certain deposits held with the ECB.

EXTERNAL RELATIONS

 

 

Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2021/860 of 23 March 2021 amended Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/124 as regards Annex to the conservation and enforcement measures of the Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organisation (NAFO), in order to incorporate some changes introduced by Regulation (EU) 2019/833 and amendments in some Annexes by the 2019 and 2020 NATO annual meetings.

 

It replaced the point 3 of the Annex regarding the List of VME Indicator Species.
